Filtering by Source on Summary Screens
You may be able to filter the Summary screen of a clinical module by source, if enabled in your user profile. The list of sources that are available as filters are determined by your system administrator. If enabled, filtering by source is allowed in these modules: Allergies, Clinical Notes, Lab Results, Orders, Medications, and Test Results.
Filtering by source allows you trim down the Summary list and view just the clinical items that were derived from a particular source or sources.
The Source filter also works in combination with the standard filters for a given module. For example, if you filter the Allergy Summary by Source (so that only allergies from a particular hospital show), you can also filter it by Drug (so that only the drug allergies from that hospital show).
1. From the Summary list in the Allergies, Clinical Notes, Lab Results, Orders, Medications, or Test Results module, tap Filter in the top-right corner of the screen.
The Filters screen is displayed.
-The top of the screen displays a list of Filter Terms. For example, in the Allergies module the Filter Terms might include Drug, Food, and Environmental. The currently selected Filter Terms are indicated by checkmarks.
-The bottom of the screen displays a list Sources, such as various hospitals or facilities. The currently selected Sources are indicated by checkmarks.
2. Select or deselect the various Filter Terms and Sources, so that only those that you want to include have checkmarks.
If some but not all of the filters are selected, a Select All button is available at the bottom of the screen; tap Select All to select all of the available filters. If all of the filters are selected, a Deselect All button is available; tap Deselect All to deselect of the filters.
3. Tap Done.
The clinical items that match the selected Filter Terms and Sources are displayed. The filters that you selected remain selected until you choose something different.
To go back to showing all of the clinical data for the patient:
1. From the Summary list, tap Filter in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. At the bottom of the Filters screen, tap Select All, and then tap Done.
All available clinical items are displayed.
