Patient Details at a Glance
The Patient Details main screen displays a list of basic information for the selected patient.
The patient heading row shows the selected patient’s name, age, gender, location, code status, and MRN. Use this information to verify that this is the right patient.
The visit row shows the following information for the current active visit (the one that you selected on the Patient List prior to accessing the Patient Details module):
-The admission date/time for visits that have admit and discharge dates (such as inpatient visits), or an appointment date/time for visits with a scheduled date (such as outpatient visits).
-The location of the visit (which is struck through if the visit is discharged).
-The attending provider for visits that have admit and discharge dates (such as inpatient visits), or the scheduled provider for visits with a scheduled date (such as outpatient visits).
-An abbreviation that identifies the type of visit (such as IP for Inpatient or OP for outpatient).
The Selected Visit area displays a combination of demographic and visit information. The information that is available depends on the fields selected by your system administrator.
-Patient demographic information, such as name, gender, date of birth, and age.
-Information about patient’s currently selected visit, such as admit/appointment date, location, reason for the visit, admitting physician, attending physician, financial class, financial number, and insurance company. These are the only fields related to financial information; detailed insurance information is not available on handheld devices.
